Studc is involved in both organizing activities within the Canadian mathematical community, such as the AARMS-CMS Poster Session, the Student Research sessions and the Student social event at the semi-annual CMS meetings, and sponsoring student-led initiatives across the country. Todd Schmid is an undergraduate at the University of Victoria. He likes long beach walks, the overlap of geometry and logic, and strange Scandinavian films. Among his favourite quotations is this one by César Vallejo: “Beloved be the ones who sit down.”
